Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has reportedly rejected an approach from Saudi Arabian club Khaleej FC due to the move not suiting him and his family.

Jamie Vardy is reportedly the latest big name who has rejected an approach from a Saudi Pro League side, with Khaleej FC interested in signing the forward.

Vardy still has a year left on his contract at Leicester, but he is yet to discuss his role in the Championship with new boss Enzo Maresca.

Many believe that the 36-year-old still has what it takes to play in the Premier League, which has seen him be tipped for a King Power exit, however he won’t be linking up with a Saudi club any time soon.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Vardy immediately rejected Khaleej’s approach as a move to Saudi Arabia wouldn’t suit him and his family.

Vardy has spent the last 11 years at the King Power, where he joined the Foxes back in 2012 when they were a Championship club.

Promotion to the Premier League, winning the Premier League, and relegation back to the Championship – Vardy has pretty much seen it all with Leicester.

Since his English top-flight debut in 2014, only Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane have scored more Premier League goals than him.

But now, his time at the club may be coming to an end, as the Foxes will reportedly not stand in the striker’s way if he wishes to depart this summer.

If he does end up leaving, whoever picks him up will have a player with a wealth of top-level experience on their hands.
