West Ham are reportedly keen on making a move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay ahead of Declan Rice’s rumoured exit this summer.
Fresh off the back of being crowned Europa Conference League champions, West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
The Hammers are preparing for the exit of club captain Declan Rice, with Arsenal and Manchester City expected to battle it out for the England international this summer.
David Moyes’ side have identified McTominay as a potential replacement for Rice after the midfielder was reportedly told that he was allowed to depart Old Trafford in the summer.
This news comes from talkSPORT, who claim that a West Ham move for McTominay could facilitate Rice going the other way, however Arsenal or City are the favoured destinations according to bookmakers.

Manchester United are expected to be very active in the transfer market this summer, with Erik ten Hag reportedly looking to trim his squad.
Not only is McTominay expected to depart, but Fred as well, marking the end of the old ‘McFred’ midfield pairing.
West Ham have also shown interest in Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse as potential midfield reinforcements.
However, their interest in McTominay comes at a good time with the midfielder in red-hot form for his nation.
The Scottish international has five goals in his last four matches for Scotland, seeing him level on goals with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane in European Championship qualifying.
This return sees Scotland sit top of Group A with four wins from four, in pole position to qualify for the European Championships in Germany next year, by which point McTominay may well be a West Ham player.
