South coast club Brighton are reportedly among several Premier League sides vying for the signature of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher ahead of his proposed exit this summer.

Europa League side Brighton have reportedly entered the race to sign outgoing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer.

The former Crystal Palace loanee was heavily linked with a move to both Liverpool and Newcastle in previous months, however talkSPORT claim that the Seagulls are now interested, along with a whole host of other Premier League sides.

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund had also been linked with the 23-year-old, as they were reportedly keeping tabs on his situation ahead of the summer window.

Chelsea are said to be willing to part ways with Gallagher, in a bid to raise funds for Mauricio Pochettino’s summer rebuild, as well as to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations after spending upward of £600million in the last two transfer windows.

Despite falling somewhat out of favour at Stamford Bridge, Gallagher managed to appear in 35 of the Blues’ 38 Premier League matches this season.

18 of those appearances came as starts under three different managers, and he found the net on just three occasions, as well as assisting once.

Deemed surplus to requirements, Gallagher is expected to be one of at least 10 Blues players to depart this summer.

The England international came through the Cobham academy having previously played for his local side in Epsom, and has been on the books at Chelsea for 15 years, but now, his time at the club looks to be coming to an end.
