Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad have sent representatives to London to meet with N’Golo Kante’s entourage ahead of a proposed summer move, as they close in on signing Karim Benzema.
Al-Ittihad are reportedly looking to strike a deal for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer, amid representatives of the club meeting with the Frenchman’s entourage.
The Saudi Pro League side are believed to be closing in on signing Karim Benzema following confirmation of his Real Madrid departure.
But now, according to respected transfer journalist Rudy Galetti, Kante could join his former France teammate at the club.
“Al Ittihad, after the signing of Benzema, the representatives of the Saudi Arabian club will fly to London to meet Ngolo Kante‘s entourage.” he tweeted.
“The talks with the Chelsea midfielder started days ago and are well underway: the aim is to reach an agreement asap.”

Kante has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, with renewal talks at a standstill.
It remains to be seen whether the former World Cup winner is part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans going forward.

The 32-year-old could become the latest big name alongside Benzema to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi side Al-Nassr in January after departing Manchester United ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
Kante has had minimal involvement for the Blues this term, after a season blighted with injuries.
He has made just nine appearances for the club this season, but has impressed in that short space of time.
The midfielder has made his intentions of remaining at the club clear. However, with contract talks stalled – joining Benzema at Al-Ittihad may seriously be on the cards.
