As the Premier League season reaches its climax, Everton, Leeds, and Leicester will have to wait until the final day to confirm their top-flight safety. But who will each team face in the crucial remaining fixture?

Everton

The Toffee’s are currently in the best position, as they sit 17th in the Premier League – two points above relegation. Sean Dyche’s side rescued a point in their last league encounter against Wolves, as Yerry Mina scored in additional time.

Everton have never been relegated from the top division and Sean Dyche will be hoping to keep that record in tact. However, the English manager will need a win to confirm safety, as his side welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park this weekend.

The worrying thing for Everton fans is when the sides faced-off earlier this season it ended in a 3-0 for the Cherries, while this repeat fixture in 2020 also finished in a win for Bournemouth (1-3).

Recent results, however, against Brighton and Wolves will give supporters confidence and know that if both Leicester and Leeds fail to win, then the Toffee’s will stay in the Premier League regardless of their result against Bournemouth.

While a draw for Everton will also be good enough if both Leicester and Leeds don’t win.

Next Fixture: Bournemouth (H), (Sunday 28th May, 4:30pm)
Everton Relegation Odds: 3/1

Leicester

The Foxes have been a welcomed addition to the Premier League over recent seasons, pulling of a miraculous league title victory in 2016. However, this season has been a difficult campaign for Leicester, which saw Brendan Rodgers part ways with the club after four years in charge.

His replacement, Dean Smith, has failed to turn things around at the King Power and his side were unable to win in their last Premier League fixture, as they drew 0-0 to Newcastle last night.

Staying in the top-flight will go down to the final day, where the Foxes will welcome West Ham to the King Power Stadium. On a plus, Leicester beat West Ham 0-2 away this season and with the London club safe and with a European Final to focus on, Smith’s side have a fair bit to cling to.

That said, the Hammers are on a great run of form, reaching the Europa Conference League final and beating Leeds in their last league fixture – with players also surely wanting to impress to make the line-up for their big upcoming final.

Next Fixture: West Ham (H), (Sunday 28th May, 4:30pm)
Leicester Relegation Odds: 1/7

Leeds United

The Whites have endured a tough campaign, which brought an end to Jesse Marsch’s time at Elland Road. The club then hired Javi Garcia, however the Spaniard failed to improve results and was made surplus to requirements months later.

This then opened up a vacancy for Premier League veteran, Sam Allardyce. The English manager was brought in for the final four Premier League fixtures and has been unable to confirm safety.

Leeds have the hardest battle on their hands, as Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Yorkshire for the final match of the season. Spurs are in a poor run of form however, and with nothing to play for, Leeds could push Ryan Mason’s side for a victory.

When they meet earlier this season in London it ended in a 4-3 thriller, but the repeat of this clash last term finished in an easy 0-4 away win for Spurs – Leeds will want to avoid that happening again. Spurs have also lost just one of their last 10 vs Leeds, which will also make grim reading for the team looking for top-flight safety.

Next Fixture: Tottenham Hotspur (H), (Sunday 28th May, 4:30pm)
Leeds Relegation Odds: 1/33
