Manchester United target, Randal Kolo Muani, has reportedly snubbed a move to Old Trafford as he prefers a move to Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils are on the hunt for a talismanic centre forward, with loanee Wout Weghorst failing to establish himself at Old Trafford and Anthony Martial’s consistent injury problems.

Marcus Rashford has been United’s primary source of goals, scoring 29 in all competitions. The England international has endured issues with injury, but has still contributed to 40 goals.

However, this reliance on the 25-year-old has seen Erik ten Hag’s side suffer, with disappointing results against Sevilla in the Europa League.

One player that has been shortlisted by the red side of Manchester is Frankfurt striker, Kolo Muani. The Frenchman has been in scintillating form for the Bundesliga side, scoring 14 goals in 30 league matches.

However, the France international has reportedly snubbed a move to Old Trafford, as he would prefer to stay in Germany and join Bayern Munich.

The German champions are currently top of the table, despite having a poor season for their lofty standards. Thomas Tuchel was appointed following Jualian Nagelsmann’s shock departure and the German has struggled to stamp his authority at the Allianz.

His side were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City, losing 4-1 across two legs. Tuchel also saw his team crumble in the DFB Pokal, as they were knocked out of another cup competition.

Robert Lewandowski’s departure at the end of last season left a huge hole in the Munich lineup and the club failed to replace the Poland international.

Talks with Muani are reportedly progressing, although deal could cost the Bundesliga giants over £100m as the Frenchman still has four years remaining on his current contract.
