In the latest Manchester City transfer news, Citizens midfielder Bernardo Silva has reportedly been identified as Paris Saint-Germain’s number one target to replace the departing Lionel Messi this summer.

According to reports from France, Paris Saint-Germain have made Bernardo Silva their number one target to replace the outgoing Lionel Messi this summer.
PSG have been linked with a move for the Manchester City midfielder for several months now, as well as Michael Olise, Moussa Diaby and Rayan Cherki all previously being named as potential candidates to replace the Argentine in the French capital.
But now, Le Parisien report that Silva has been named the number one target and that negotiations have already begun.

The Ligue 1 leaders are set for a major rebuild this summer, with Messi and Neymar being earmarked as likely departures.
Barcelona also hold a strong interest in Silva, but PSG look to have the upper hand in negotiations as of now.
With Manchester City reportedly looking for a fee upwards of £80m for their Portuguese star, a move to the La Liga champions looks unlikely considering their financial constraints – handing the Parisiens an advantage.
Notably, Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes is also said to hold a strong relationship with PSG. The Portuguese agent has previously been involved in the transfer of both Vitinha and Renato Sanches to the French capital – so his influence may be key in the 28-year-old’s move.
Silva has enjoyed another stellar season under Pep Guardiola in Manchester.
The former Benfica star has made 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and assisting seven.
During his time at City, he has won four Premier League titles, four League Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields – and may add a further three titles before the end of the season.
