Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that the club can still attract players, even if they don’t have Champions League football next season.

It’s certainly been a poor season for Liverpool but Klopp’s side have had a resurgence of late which has seen them win their last six games.

This has put them just one point behind Manchester United in fourth now, with the race for Champions League football set to go down to the final day.

Jurgen Klopp Quotes

Even if Liverpool don’t finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, Klopp believes the club can still attract players this summer.

“If I’m allowed to talk to a player, we cannot say in the moment if we have Champions League football. So, if we’re already talking. Then it is already clear that he knows about that situation,” Klopp told reporters ahead of Liverpool’s clash with relegation-threatened Leicester City.

“It’s obvious we have to be part of the Champions League, fight for trophies…if you want to be part of that, you’re more than welcome. We cannot guarantee Champions League football.

“But all the rest is the same as before: a fantastic club with a really good football team – and a better one hopefully next year. It’s really that simple. Still Liverpool. We’re really attractive to a lot of players.”
