ASCOT 3.00
THANKSBUTNOTHANKS (system – Amo Racing-owned newcomers)
Owners Amo Racing have a fine record with newcomers, whether two or three-year-olds and regardless of who trains them. They’ve scored with 33 of the 145 qualifiers (22.8%) for a profit of £40.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. THANKSBUTNOTHANKS, a £30k Breeze-up purchase, can make a winning start to her career.
MARKET RASEN 4.35
VICTORY ECHO (system – Maurice Barnes, May)
Since 2017, had we backed all Maurice Barnes-trained runners in the month of May we’d have won 18 of our 113 bets (16%) and made a huge profit of £179.63 to a £1 level stake at SP. VICTORY ECHO won well at Perth last time and could be value to follow up.

RIPON 7.05
WE’LL GO AGAIN (system – Fast Company, Flat handicaps, good to soft or softer going)
Progeny of soft-ground influence Fast Company have a cracking record in handicaps on the Flat when racing on officially good to soft or softer going, landing 127 of their 992 starts (12.8%) for a profit of £108.32. WE’LL GO AGAIN finished a creditable 22-1 fifth of 14 behind Robert Johnson and Turbulent Power at Catterick last month and that pair franked the form when running one-two again at Thirsk last night. TURNER GIRL, two places ahead of the selection at Catterick, looks the main threat.
WOLVERHAMPTON 7.50
ZEBADAAY (system – David O’Meara, first-time cheekpiece in all-weather handicaps)
Trainer David O’Meara has a nine from 42 record when using first-time cheekpieces on an all-weather handicapper and backing them blind would have returned a profit of ÂŁ42.42 to a ÂŁ1 level stake at SP. ZEBADAAY blew the start and could never get involved behind WEDGEWOOD over course and distance last time but that run, his first for 315 days and first since gelded, was probably needed and he can reverse the form with the winner tonight.
