Pep Guardiola has transitioned from a superb midfielder to one of the greatest managers the sport has ever seen. Dominating in Spain, Germany, and England, the Manchester City boss has won 31 trophies in his career, but how much is he worth?

Playing Career

Before his meteoric rise as a manger, Guardiola was an industrious midfielder for both club and country. Coming through the ranks at Barcelona, the Spaniard made his first team debut in 1990 and went on to play 263 matches.

Guardiola was a key member in the Barcelona squad that won four consecutive La Liga titles from 1991-1994. He was also pivotal in the club’s consecutive league title’s in 1998 and 1999.

The Manchester City manager was also an important member of the Spanish national team, winning a gold medal in the 1992 Olympics.

His time in Spain came to an end in 2001, ending a spell that included 12 major trophies for a move to Brescia where he left after one season at the club.

Guardiola failed to find the heights that he found in Spain and played for a variety of sides including; Roma, Al-Ahli, and Dorados.

Managerial Career

The Spaniard began his managerial career at Barcelona, taking over from Frank Rijkaard at the end of the 2007-08 season and it’s safe to say he got off to a good start.

In his first season, the club won the first treble in Spanish history, claiming the Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Ray titles.

The 52-year-old left his boyhood club in 2012, after winning three consecutive La Liga titles and two UCL trophies with a host of domestic accolades also.

Bayern Munich managed to land the Spaniard’s signature in July 2013, where he went on to win three consecutive Bundesliga titles and two DFB Pokal trophies. However, his performances in the Champions League did not match this impressive record – winning none during his time in Germany.

His time in Germany came to an end in 2016 and the Premier League was next-up for the already world-class manager. Manchester City replaced Manuel Pellegrini after a disappointing season and have not looked back since.

Winning four out of the last five league titles, Guardiola’s side are on track to win their third Premier League in as many years.

Net Worth

As shown by the huge salary that Guardiola has been paid during his career, the Spaniard is now the highest paid manager in the Premier League.

Having a win rate of over 70% may justify the colossal amount he has made, winning the highest number of trophies out of any manager since he began in 2008.

However, has the City manager managed to hold on to this amount of money and does his net worth live up to these lofty heights?

According to celebritynetworth.com, the Manchester City boasts a net worth of £30m, which according to the same site, is £10m less than his fierce rival, Jurgen Klopp.

The Spaniard has a host of sponsors to boost his net worth, Puma, Nissan and Gore-Tex have all endorsed the former Barcelona boss.
