Southampton remain bottom of the Premier League table as they drew 3-3 with Arsenal at the Emirates on Friday night. Ruben Selles’ side’s survival hopes have been given another huge blow after throwing away a two-goal lead, so we’re taking a look at the latest Southampton Relegation Odds.

Selles’ men got off to the perfect start after Aaron Ramsdale gifted them the opener. After just 28 seconds, the Arsenal goalkeeper passed the ball straight into the path of Carlos Alcaraz who controlled and finished well to shock the hosts early on.

Southampton then flew into a 2-0 lead as former Arsenal ace Theo Walcott brilliantly doubled his side’s lead to sink his old club. He latched on to an inch-perfect ball from Alcaraz to score his first Premier League goal since May 2021.

Arsenal responded well after a poor start, and pulled one back through Gabriel Martinelli, who got on the end of a Bukayo Saka cross. It was a goal that certainly lifted the mood around the place as the atmosphere drastically improved.

Saints led 2-1 at half time knowing they were 45 minutes away moving off the bottom of the league.

To make matters worse for the home side, but joy for the visitors, Southampton moved into a 3-1 lead. First-half substitute Duje Caleta-Car was in the right place at the right time at the back post as he headed home a flicked on corner.

Selles’ men were in dreamland but it was all from over.

Southampton couldn’t hold on as a late Arsenal surge nicked a points from the South Coast strugglers. Martin Odegaard scored with an exquisite curling effort from outside the box, and Saka bundled home a loose ball in the box to level the scores at 3-3.
