Southampton shocked Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal with a goal after just 29 seconds thanks to Carlos Alcaraz, but what are the quickest goals in league history?
Aaron Ramsdale’s hospital pass to Oleksandr Zinchenko was intercepted by Carlos Alcaraz who pounced on the opportunity to grab the first goal of the game.
After 29 seconds, this ranks as one of the quickest goals in Premier League history but doesn’t come close to breaking the record.

RELATED: When Arsenal Could Win The Premier League Title
Arsenal have their backs up against the wall to overcome a 2-1 half time deficit against Southampton. If the score stays the same, Man City will trail the league leaders by just four points whilst having two games in hand.
The decisive showdown between the leading pair also takes place at the Etihad Stadium next Wednesday, which could decide where the title is headed.
Southampton have currently relegated Leicester City to the bottom of the league, but also remain in the relegation zone alongside Nottingham Forest – all three are odds-on for the drop according to Premier League betting sites.
Some weeks ago, it appeared the Gunners were all but set to lift a 14th league title and their first since the Invincible’s era. However, the pressure of Pep Guardiola’s Citizens could prove too much to handle.
