Manchester United have been handed an injury boost ahead of their Europa League quarter-final second-leg clash against Sevilla. Marcus Rashford amongst others have returned to training on Wednesday and will likely be involved on Thursday, which will be a positive Man United team news update for fans.

Man United Team News Update

Rashford trained with his United teammates on the eve of their crunch clash away at Sevilla. The 25-year-old had to be subbed off against Everton 11 days ago with a groin issue, and has since missed two games.

He missed last week’s 2-2 draw in the first-leg of this tie, and then was absent for United’s 2-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Luke Shaw also returned to training at Carrington, after missing a couple of games due to his own injury issues.

Another that returned to training was fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia, who missed Sunday’s game against Forest with a knock.

Marcel Sabitzer – who scored twice in the first-leg against Sevilla was also seen in training after pulling out of United’s starting line-up against Forest on Sunday. That was likely a precaution, and the Austrian could be set to return to start on Thursday.

However, Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek are out for the remainder of the season, with Alejandro Garnacho and Rafael Varane also sidelined.

Bruno Fernandes won’t be available for selection due to a suspension picked up last week in the first-leg. Erik ten Hag will certainly have a midfield headache when he’s selecting his starting 11.

That’s all from us in the latest Man United team news.
