Monbeg Genius Odds For 2023 Scottish Grand National

Trainer Jonjo O’Neill has won most of the main horse races in the UK but is still yet to win the Scottish Grand National.

However, the former top jockey has a great chance of putting that right this Saturday with his 7 year-old MONBEG GENIUS, who is high up the list in the betting for Saturday’s Ayr race.

We last saw the horse running a decent third in the Ultima Chase at the Cheltenham Festival (watch below) and with the winner of that race – Corach Rambler – going onto win the Aintree Grand National last weekend, then the form was given a timely boost.

The big unknown for Monbeg Genius will be the step up in trip, as the furthest he’s gone to date was last time over 3m1f. However, has only had five career runs over fences (winning three) so should have more to come.

Prior to that Cheltenham run, he’d won three on the bounce in the style of an improving staying chase so will head into the Saturday’s race with a leading chance.
