Liverpool are eyeing a summer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch after the breakdown of their pursuit for Jude Bellingham.

It’s set to be a huge summer of transfer business for the Reds, after what’s been a hugely disappointing campaign so far. With Bellingham no longer being a target after Jurgen Klopp said his side simply don’t have the money to sign him, they’re looking elsewhere.

Gravenberch has struggled for game time in his first season in Germany, and now has emerged as one of Klopp’s leading targets for this upcoming transfer window.

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner all set to leave the club, it leaves the Reds’ midfield on the weaker side.

According to reports, Liverpool have held a meeting with Gravenberch’s representatives that include his father, Ryan Sr.

Gravenberch came through the ranks of Ajax’s academy and has since gained a lot of traction. He signed for Bayern in the summer but has failed to get regular game time and has only started a handful of games all season.

He’s currently stuck behind Leon Goretska and Joshua Kimmich in the pecking order, with Bayern reportedly set to sign Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig in the summer.

The 20-year-old Dutchman is clearly not rated highly enough to get more playing time at Bayern, so a move to Liverpool has every chance of happening.

Bayern would be reportedly open to selling the 6’3 maestro for around £25m. This is a fee a lot more affordable than the £130 million that Borussia Dortmund are demanding for Bellingham.

And to add further fuel to the rumours, there’s now an image of Gravenberch in a Liverpool shirt floating round on Twitter.
