Nottingham Forest’s hopes of Premier League survival have taken yet another dent after they lost 2-0 to Manchester United on Sunday. After the result at the City Ground, we’re taking a look at the latest Nottingham Forest Relegation Odds.

Story Of The Game

It’s now 11 games since Forest last recorded a win, and they remain in the relegation zone on goal difference.

The scoreline could have been a lot more than just 2-0 but Keylor Navas produced some fine saves to keep United from scoring more. Erik ten Hag’s men had 22 shots on goal with eight on target, meanwhile the home side failed to have a shot on target themselves.

Cooper will feel his side were hard done by when a VAR call went against them. With the scores level at 0-0, the ball appeared to strike Harry Maguire on the hand, but nothing was given.

Antony opened the scoring for United from close range just after the half-hour mark. The Brazilian winger was in the right place at the right time and converted a rebound after Anthony Martial saw his shot saved by Navas.

Antony then turned creator in the second half providing an assist to Diego Dalot, who made it 2-0. It was a wonderfully constructed goal by the Red Devils as Antony danced through the Forest midfield to slot Dalot through who scored his first Premier League goal for the club.

Forest did have a couple of chances in the first half, but couldn’t get anything on target. Cooper’s side remain third from bottom in the drop zone on goal difference. Things don’t get any easier for the Reds, and they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool next weekend.
