Jurgen Klopp has shared the latest Liverpool injury news ahead their trip to Yorkshire on Monday night, and long-term absentee Luis Diaz could be in line to make an appearance against Leeds.
Liverpool Injury News Update
Diaz has been ruled out of action since picking up a nasty ligament damage problem way back in October during Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat against Arsenal.
The Colombian international was in line for a return after being handed a three-month recovery timeframe, but a relapse while out in Dubai at a training camp saw him sidelined for another four-month stint.
He returns to an almost unrecognisable Liverpool team who are looking increasingly likely to miss out on Champions League football for the first time in six years, but the intensity, versatility and much-needed end product he can bring back to the team should provide the Reds with a boost in their season run-in.
Speaking ahead of their Monday night fixture against Leeds, manager Jurgen Klopp said: “He is 100% ready in training. He is completely ready, now we have to reintegrate. He will be in the squad, unless something happens.
“It’s like having a new player and a new signing. Luis is settling better, his English is better. He has really matured again, much more comfortable than he was at the beginning.”

Despite sharing positive news on Diaz’s recovery, the same could not be said for Ibrahima Konaté and Alisson, with the duo absent from training this week.
The German failed to provide any further information as to whether they will be fit for the upcoming fixture, but it appears Alisson is further behind in his recovery than the Konaté.
Klopp said: “Couple of problems this week. Ibou couldn’t train for two days but should be back today. Ali wasn’t involved but will train today individually.”
