Conor McGregor’s former training partner, and the always controversial Dillon Danis, has been quick to react to the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz fight announcement.

Over the last few hours it was confirmed that the controversial social media star, Jake Paul, will take on Nate Diaz in a boxing bout on August 5th. It will be Paul’s first fight since his loss to Tommy Fury in February, as his fantastical run in boxing continues.

The American found fame through his daily vlogs on YouTube, amassing tens of millions of followers and established himself in the entertainment industry with an acting role in Disney’s hit TV show, Bizardvarks.

However, his transition into boxing has removed that ‘Disney Star’ image, after claiming victories against MMA legends, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and winning ESPN’s knockout of the year for his vicious KO on Woodley.

His rise in the fight game has come with its fair share of criticism, with many claiming that the ‘Problem Child’ has chose an easy route. One man that has been persistent in his disapproval is Dillon Danis, who has given his thoughts on the fight announcement.

Danis tweeted: “Jake Paul loses to the only “pro” boxer that’s his age & weight class who is actually terrible and immediately returns to boxing retired smaller MMA fighters with CTE.”

The Jiu-Jitsu specialist has had previous altercations with both Jake and Logan Paul, which includes a run-in that saw Paul throw toilet paper at his rival.

Danis was scheduled to fight, influencer boxer, and archenemy to Jake Paul, KSI. But the former Bellator fighter pulled out a few weeks before through a supposed ‘injury’.

It’s been over three years since Danis last entered the octagon and many supporters have wondered if he will fight again. However, this has not stopped his actions on Twitter – as he is not shy to let people know what he thinks.
