The UK & Ireland’s final bid to host Euro 2028 has been submitted, along with the announcement of the 10 prospective host stadiums, as confirmed by the four British Football Associations and the Football Association of Ireland.

The English FA, FA of Wales, Scottish FA, Irish FA and the FA of Ireland have announced that their final bid to host Euro 2028 has been submitted.

After a 14 prospective stadiums were announced to host, the list has now been narrowed down to 10.

The 10 proposed host stadiums are as follows:

  • Wembley Stadium – London, England
  • National Stadium of Wales – Cardiff, Wales
  • Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – London, England
  • City of Manchester Stadium – Manchester, England
  • Everton Stadium – Liverpool, England
  • St James’ Park – Newcastle, England
  • Villa Park – Birmingham, England
  • Hampden Park – Glasgow, Scotland
  • Dublin Arena – Dublin, Republic of Ireland
  • Casement Park – Belfast, Northern Ireland

The four stadiums that failed to make the cut were Manchester’s Old Trafford, Dublin’s Croke Park, Sunderland’s Stadium of Light and London’s London Stadium.

Split between the five nations, England will have six host stadiums, as well as one each for Wales, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

In a statement by the nations, they stated that their state of the art venues will provide a platform for the most successful European Championship ever.

They also confirmed that almost three million tournament tickets will be available – more than any previous European Championship and with an average stadia capacity of 58,000, more fans than ever before will attend matches.

Just one other bid has submitted to UEFA, from Turkey. The Turkish FA announced the submission of their application last month. It is their sixth successive European Championship bid, with the previous five being rejected by the European governing body.
