In the latest Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners are reportedly stepping up their interest in Manchester United target and Bayern Munich central-midfielder Ryan Gravenberch ahead of the summer window.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are reportedly ramping up their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman has had a tough start to life in Munich after joining from Ajax, and is also said to be a target of Manchester United.

Gravenberch played under Erik ten Hag in the Dutch capital and was linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer. However, a move failed to materialise with the 20-year-old set on a transfer to the Bundesliga champions.

He has made just one league start for the Bavarians, coupled with a few opportunities in cup competitions.

Across Bayern’s two-legged round-of-16 Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain, he featured for just three minutes.

And after his tough start in Germany, Arsenal are said to be looking to bring the midfielder to the Emirates in the summer.

According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenburg, the Premier League leaders are yet to make any formal approach for Gravenberch. The Gunners are said to be monitoring his situation at the club, however.

The former Ajax man may face a similar situation to his current one upon a move to north London.

Arsenal are currently well stocked in midfield areas, with Mohamed Elneny, Jorginho, Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard all on the books.

Will the midfielder stay put in Germany, or make the switch to the Premier League to play for Manchester United or Arsenal?
