According to a recent report, Manchester United are interested in making a move for Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alex Mac Allister this summer.

The Telegraph confirmed earlier today that Erik ten Hag’s side are looking to bolster their midfield options this summer, with Caicedo and Mac Allister being identified as potential suitors for the role.

United have struggled with their midfield this term due to injuries for Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek and suspensions for Brazilian general Casemiro.

Ten Hag looked to bring Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford last summer, but the Dutchman decided to stay put in Barcelona.

His attention will now be turned to the Brighton duo this summer after an impressive season on the south coast.

Caicedo was close to joining Arsenal in the summer, but for the Seagulls to deny the Ecuadorian a move to north London.

Mac Allister, of course, won the World Cup back in December – lining up alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernandez as his beloved Argentina triumphed in Qatar.

Prior to the tournament, and following the tournament, the 24-year-old has been subject to plenty of transfer interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus, PSG and many more have all been linked with a move for the tricky midfielder.

His new contract ties him to Brighton until 2025, with Caicedo’s running even longer until 2027, so securing the services of the pair will likely be costly for the Red Devils.
