Manchester United’s spot in next season’s Champions League competition is all but confirmed following Saturday afternoon’s 2-0 win against Everton at Old Trafford.

For the first time since 2017/18 under Jose Mourinho, Manchester United have done the double over Everton and moved up to third place in the Premier League on 56 points.

Newcastle United can regain third spot with a win at Brentford later today and the race for the top four is heating up as we approach the business end of the Premier League season.

Manchester United Top Four Odds

  • Manchester United @ 1/7
  • Newcastle United @ 1/3
  • Tottenham Hotspur @ 7/2
  • Brighton @ 6/1
  • Aston Villa @ 6/1
  • Brentford @ 250/1
  • Fulham @ 500/1

Strikes from Scott McTominay and substitute Anthony Martial proved enough to get the Red Devils over the line in the early kick-off, but the winning margin arguably should’ve been much greater.

United had 29 shots on goal, 11 on target and accumulated an xG of 3.52. A total of seven big chances were missed by the Reds, including four from talisman Marcus Rashford and one each from Antony, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Bruno Fernandes.

Erik ten Hag’s side are up next in the Europa League quarter-final at home to Sevilla before a trip to the City Ground against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest.

Following Carabao Cup triumph earlier this season, Manchester United ended a six-year wait for silverware and could add further glory to an already illustrious trophy cabinet at Old Trafford.

The Reds face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley later this month with a potential final against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to come, who must overcome Sheffield United first.

According to Premier League betting sites, United are 750/1 to win the league this season and hopes have well and truly sailed for a 20th league title.
