Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has been linked with a possible move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr following the French side’s exit from the Champions League.

PSG have been after the Champions League since their billionaire takeover back in 2012 but their decade-long wait continues after their 3-0 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich. This has frustrated supporters and players with many being rumoured to move in the summer.

One of the players that could be departing is Sergio Ramos, who signed for the Ligue 1 champions in 2021. The Spaniard has made 48 appearances for the Parisian side, scoring four goals whilst also winning a league and cup double in his first season with the club.

The loss to Munich has created a lot of speculation for the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, as the world-class duo could not find a goal between them. However, it was Ramos who appeared the most disappointed as he expressed his frustration on Twitter.

The 36-year-old said: “Deeply disappointed in you and in us. We were not at the level required by #UCL. We didn’t know how to handle the key details and we miss the main objective,”

“It’s painful, but champions are reborn from defeat and forged in adversity. We’ll be back!”

Given the legendary defender’s age his time at an elite European side may be coming to an end, with a reported move to Al-Nassr on the cards. His former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo recently signed for the Saudi Arabian side and could be a key factor in the move.
