Tekao Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Odds
The sixth race of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival gets underway on Tuesday 14th March. The race takes place at 4.50pm, with the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle taking centre stage. This Grade 3 handicap is certainly an intriguing race on Day 1 of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
One of the standout horses in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle is the Willie Mullins trained Tekao.
The 4-year-old gelding currently sits as the favourite at odds of around 4/1 with the best horse racing betting sites to win. Tekao boasts two wins and two thirds in his four starts and is understandably the betting favourite here in the Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
Despite never racing at Cheltenham before, Tekao has won both in Ireland and France at Leopardstown and Lyon Parilly respectively. He looks a strong juvenile and has the form to win on his first ever start at the Cheltenham Festival.
Jockey Mark Walsh will likely be in the saddle on Tekao – a horse and jockey partnership that has been particularly fruitful in the past. Due to his performances in his last few runs, Tekao is rightfully the favourite in the betting market.

Willie Mullins will be confident of a win for Tekao and he certainly looks a strong horse here in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
In terms of his Cheltenham odds, Tekao is the favourite in a very open race on Tuesday afternoon. The likes of Byker, Risk Belle, Sir Allen, Bad and Perseus Way are next in line in the betting in a race that is extremely difficult to call.
Mullins’ 4-year-old however has every chance of winning here as the favourite. Fellow legendary trainer Nicky Henderson also has an outsider in Arclight in the sixth race on Day 1 in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
