Barcelona are favourites to sign Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino after it was confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.
The Brazilian has played over 350 matches for the Reds, scoring 108 goals and assisting 79. He has won a Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup since signing back in June 2015. However, this year he has missed important matches through injury and has decided to end his eight year spell in Merseyside.
His most recent display for Liverpool came during their 7-0 thrashing over Manchester United, where he came on as a substitute to get a goal and assist. Making it 12 goal contributions in the league so far, as he looks to end his final Liverpool campaign strongly.

During his time under Jurgen Klopp, the striker has won the respect of his manager and more importantly the fans. Klopp spoke about how special it was to see Firmino score after he announced his decision to end his time at Liverpool.
The Liverpool boss said: “Bobby tonight was the most special moment. It was not an easy decision for him. The reception he got was absolutely outstanding. With all the wonderful goals he scored, that’s the goal he pretty much wanted the most.”
However, the question now is where will the forward be next season? Xavi’s Barcelona are reportedly leading the race to sign the 30-year-old, however their recent transfer ban could make a move difficult. Alternatively, teams from the MLS are reportedly interested, should he choose to leave Europe.
