Fulham have seen their odds of finishing in the Premier League top six drift to 20/1 following their west London derby loss against Brentford this evening.
Marco Silva’s Fulham have seen their European hopes take a blow this evening, after falling to a 3-2 defeat to west London rivals Brentford.
Fulham came into the tie in excellent form, as they were unbeaten in their previous seven matches in all competitions.
You wouldn’t have been able to tell that they were unbeaten in seven as the game kicked off however. Brentford were completely on the front foot from the first whistle, dominating possession, and creating numerous opportunities.
The hosts were rewarded for their early pressure just six minutes into the tie. Ethan Pinnock smashed home a deflected effort from just inside the box after Fulham had cleared the initial corner.

Fulham fought back later on in the first-half, with in-form Manor Solomon netting in a fifth successive match.
The Israeli winger headed home after Andreas Pereira rattled the woodwork from a free-kick to level the scoring.

Similarly to the first-half, the Bees came out flying at the restart.
A clumsy challenge from Issa Diop on Mikel Damsgaard saw the hosts awarded a penalty.
It was none other than Ivan Toney that stepped up to take the spot-kick, converting to keep his 100% penalty record for Brentford in-tact.
Mathias Jensen added a third late on, turning home after some good work from substitute Kevin Schade.

Fulham didn’t give up, as second-half substitute Carlos Vinicius pulled one back for the visitors, but it was too little too late as the Cottagers were condemned to defeat.
A victory for Silva’s side would’ve seen them overtake Newcastle United into sixth place, but now Brentford are hot on their tail – just one point behind.
