In the latest Victor Osimhen transfer update, the Napoli and Nigeria striker has seemingly hinted at a ‘dream’ move to the Premier League amid links to Manchester United.
Current Serie A top goalscorer Victor Osimhen has once again hinted at a move to the Premier League.
The Nigeria and Napoli forward had previously refused to rule out a move to the Premier League, with a whole host of Europe’s top clubs reportedly trying to secure his signature.
Manchester United are the current favourites to land the striker, priced at 5/1, closely followed by Chelsea in second at 7/1.
Inspired by Osimhen and co, Napoli currently lead the pack in the Serie A. The Gli Azzurri are currently 15 points clear at the top of the table, and are set to earn their first Serie A title in 33 years.
The 24-year-old currently has 19 goals in the league – 5 goals clear of second place in the Golden Boot race Lautaro Martinez.
Victor Osimhen’s Comments
Receiving the Foreign Press Award in Rome, Osimhen opened up about his future beyond this season.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League one day” he said.
“It’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum, Serie A is in one of top five leagues in the world and it’s an amazing feeling for me.”

Speaking about his status at the club at the moment, Osimhen claimed that he could receive ‘icon’ status if he can led the club to the Scudetto.
“I don’t consider myself as an icon yet until I achieve the objective which the club has set itself for this season,” he said.
“[If we win the Serie A] I think (I) have a very big chance of being named an icon.”
He further added: “it wouldn’t compare to what Maradona has done for this club.”
