Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew successfully opposed BIG FISH (5th, 4-1) at Ffos Las on Sunday and has two recommended bets/trades on Monday, March 6th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
WETHERBY 2.05
BEAT THE EDGE
Tim Easterby’s BEAT THE EDGE is a 12-race maiden but there are races in him judged on his runner-up effort over 3m here on Boxing Day when he perhaps hit the front too soon in first-time blinkers. He was caught close home by stablemate Court At Slip (winner again since) that day and placed the next twice before his 43-length last-of-three effort at Musselburgh last month. That run is easily excused, as he jumped out to his left on the right-handed track, and the return to Wetherby and cut back to this extended 2m5f trip can see him finish in the first two or three. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take an each-way price in the fixed odds betting.
Recommendation: Back BEAT THE EDGE in Wetherby 2.05
WOLVERHAMPTON 8.00
SO CHIC
At the time of writing, the Charles Hills-trained SO CHIC was trading as the 3-1 favourite for this 7f fillies’ handicap but she’s a nine-race maiden who has a tricky draw (stall 9 of 9) to overcome. Six of her eight rivals have run faster than her in the past (according to Proform’s speed figures). Hayley Turner (0-14 for the yard) takes over in the saddle and the three-year-old can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with PRENUP, who makes her debut for Jane Chapple-Hyam. Her new handler is very profitable to follow with stable switchers, especially those running in handicap company after a break.
Recommendation: Oppose SO CHIC in the Wolverhampton 8.00
