Nottingham Forest relegation odds have slashed to 7/4 after their 2-2 draw with Everton at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
Story Of The Game
It was an important affair in the East Midlands, as the relegation battle begins to heat up even more. Both sides knew what a colossal opportunity this game was to get a huge three points, however they couldn’t be separated after 90 minutes.
Sean Dyche’s side could have moved out of the bottom three with a victory, leap-frogging Leeds United and West Ham. Meanwhile a win for Steve Cooper’s Reds meant they would have rose to 12th in the table. A draw was a missed chance for either side to get a crucial three points on the board.
Everton took an early lead through a Demarai Gray penalty, after Jonjo Shelvey’s trip on Dwight McNeil.

The visiting Toffees started the game very well, however their lead was soon cut out. Brennan Johnson was in the right place at the right time as he fired home from close range. Morgan Gibbs-White had seen a shot saved by Jordan Pickford, allowing for Johnson to hammer the rebound into the back of the net.

As tensions started to rise on the field, Everton went ahead soon after Forest had pulled a goal back. Abdoulaye Doucoure headed past Keylor Navas to put the visitors in the lead on the half hour mark.

There was plenty of drama with yellow cards being dished out left, right and centre by referee John Brooks. There was a total of eight bookings in the match.
Dyche’s men were leading at half time, and the home side seemed to be shook up by Everton’s second goal.
However, on the 77th minute, Johnson equalised with a stunning left footed effort, sending the City Ground into oblivion. The Wales international played a tremendous one-two with Ryan Yates before guiding a strike into the top left hand corner with his weaker foot.
