Everton’s Premier League relegation odds have been priced at 10/11 after the Toffees drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this afternoon.

It was a highly anticipated clash in terms of the relegation battle at the City Ground this afternoon, as 14th place Nottingham Forest hosted 18th place Everton.

Sean Dyche knew that a victory for against the Reds would see his side overtake Leeds United and West Ham, and move out of the relegation zone.

Forest were four points clear of the drop zone ahead of kick-off, but were without a win in their last three matches.

It wasn’t the start Steve Cooper was looking for on home turf, as Demarai Gray converted from the spot after 10 minutes to open the scoring.

Everton had started well, and were enjoying the majority of possession in the early stages of the tie.

It didn’t take long for it to fall apart however, with Brennan Johnson netting the equaliser in the 19th minute. Some nice link up play between Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood saw the former’s shot saved by Jordan Pickford, but Johnson was in the right place at the right time to turn home the rebound.

The frantic nature of the fixture didn’t stop there either. 10 minutes after Johnson’s leveller Forest found themselves a goal down once again.

A slight flick from Abdoulaye Doucoure was enough to force the ball past Dean Henderson for the Toffees’ second.

The Toffees took their 2-1 lead into the break, but it was clear that the story wasn’t quite over there.

There were plenty of clashes between players on both sides, most notably with Gibbs-White and Dwight McNeil, as emotions ran high in the relegation six-pointer.

77 minutes in, Johnson turned home his second of the match to level once again. The Welshman played a nice one-two with Ryan Yates before smashing home into the top-left corner – leaving Pickford no chance.

Dyche’s side couldn’t fashion a response to Johnson’s leveller, as the thrilling tie ended 2-2 at the City Ground.

Forest maintain their four point advantage on the relegation zone, as Everton remain 18th – level on points with Leeds.
