Premier League leaders Arsenal welcome Bournemouth to the Emirates on Saturday in a game that could have huge implications on both the bottom and top of the table.

We have put together a preview ahead of the game this weekend that contains all the information you need, including early team news and our prediction for the game.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth Preview

Arsenal have been flying in the Premier League ever since they lost to Manchester City midway through February, as the Gunners have recorded three victories in a row with easy wins over Aston Villa, Leicester and Everton.

The recent good form of Mikel Arteta’s men means they are now five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the league, with the Citizens taking on Newcastle in a must win game at the Etihad in a tricky early kick off on Saturday.

While Arsenal have been flying at the top of the league, Bournemouth have struggled this season and after getting battered 4-1 by Manchester City the newly promoted side became odds on favourites with most bookmakers to be relegated back to the Championship season.

The Cherries are 19th in the league and have won just one of their last nine league games, however the bottom of the table is so close that there is just one point separating them from 17th place and safety meaning they certainly aren’t down and out just yet.

Last time these sides met Arsenal put on a masterclass in attacking, with Martin Odegaard scoring a brace and William Saliba netting his first goal for the Gunners to seal a comfortable 3-0 win at the Vitality.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth Team News

Arsenal’s two long term injury concerns Gabriel Jesus and Mohamed Elneny will remain sidelined, however the former is progressing with his recovery and has returned to London in anticipation of a return to action soon.

Jorginho was forced to leave the field early on Saturday during Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Everton through illness, so Thomas Partey makes afull return to the starting XI.

With Arsenal’s first leg of the Europa League round of 16 coming up next Thursday, Mikel Arteta has decided to rest several players with Takehiro Tomiyasu stepping in for Ben White at right-back, while Fabio Vieira steps in alongside Partey in midfield.

As for the visitors, Bournemouth fans will be disappointed to hear there is no update on where Matias Vina, Junior Stanislas and Marcus Tavernier who all missed out against Manchester City with fresh injuries.

Lewis Cook returns to be bench, while Antoine Semenyo and Joe Rothwell represent the only two chances from last week, with  Jefferson Lerma and Boubacar Traoré coming in.

Prediction: Arsenal 3 – 0 Bournemouth
