Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes that his former side are the only realistic option in the Premier League, if Harry Kane was to move on from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Spurs will be made to make a huge decision come the end of the season. Kane will then only have one year left on his current contract. The North London club will have to act in the summer if they want to bring in a respectable amount of money for the England international.

The 29-year-old’s future is again in doubt this week after Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Sheffield United. It’s looking like it’ll be another trophy-less season for Kane and his team.

United coach Erik ten Hag will certainly be in the market for a new striker in the next transfer window. The Dutchman will look to make his side genuine title challengers. They’ve tried a different option in Burnley’s Wout Weghorst, however it hasn’t really paid off yet. The 6’6 striker is yet to score for the Red Devils.

Gary Neville Has His Say On Kane To Manchester United

“He’s a great professional and I think if Harry Kane could leave now and get him an exit out of there to a club in Manchester – probably United or City. I think he would take that opportunity,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

“Now it’s more than likely that it wouldn’t be City because of their (Erling) Haaland expenditure and what they’ve done with him. Manchester United are desperate for a centre-forward.

“Chelsea – I can’t see him going to Chelsea, Harry. He’s quite loyal to Tottenham and there’s a big rivalry between Chelsea and Tottenham. They do need a centre-forward (but) I don’t see that happening.

“He’s not going to go to Arsenal, again because of rivalry. So Manchester United, I think, is the only option in England for Harry Kane this summer. Bayern Munich has been mentioned and that could happen.

“Daniel Levy would be happier if he was sold internationally, so we could see that. But I think if Harry wants to win trophies then he’s going to have to leave Tottenham, because they do struggle with that aspect.”
