Everton relegation odds are now 1/1 after another damaging defeat in the Premier League, and this time it was a 4-0 loss to Arsenal

Sean Dyche’s side were dominated by top of the league Arsenal, and couldn’t repeat their last outing against the Gunners where James Tarkowski netted the winner in a 1-0 win.

Everton still sit 18th on 21 points, with sides around them all now having a game in hand on them, but they knew just how important even a point would have been on the night.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and a brace from Gabriel Martinelli dealt Dyche’s men another huge blow in their quest for survival.

The Toffees have a huge game this weekend against Nottingham Forest, who are still not yet safe themselves. It’s vital they get all three points at the City Ground, with tricky fixtures to follow after. They then face Brentford, Chelsea, Spurs, Man United and Fulham in the following games.

Goals, amongst a lot of other things are a big issue for Dyche’s side. It was another game where they failed to put the ball into the back of the net, and they’ve not scored more than once for 15 games now.

A decision from the club’s board not to bring in a striker in the January window looks even worse once again. Dyche has won two and lost three of his first five games, with the winning goals in each of those coming from defenders. Tarkowski in the win against Arsenal in the reverse fixture, and Seamus Coleman in the victory over Leeds United.
