Chelsea are now six games without a win in all competitions but can bounce back on Saturday against relegation-threatened Leeds United. Here, find a preview for the game alongside odds, team news and lineups.
Chelsea vs Leeds United Preview
Despite spending over £500m since Todd Boehly’s takeover of the club, Chelsea’s struggles continue and the prospect of European football at Stamford Bridge next season is already slipping away.
Chelsea have lost three straight games including two losses in the Premier League to Spurs and Southampton on top of a 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.
The Blues sit tenth in the Premier League table and ten points adrift a spot in next season’s Europa League as Chelsea brace for a first season without a European competition since 2016/17.
Graham Potter‘s status as manager is under threat and the 47-year-old is the favourite to be the next English top flight manager sacked. Potential replacements have been touted such as Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.
Since showing Jesse Marsch the door, Leeds United have won one, drew one and lost three games. New boss Javi Gracia has a monumental task on his hands to keep the Whites from relegation but Premier League betting sites are backing their survival.
Southampton, Bournemouth and Everton are the current favourites for the drop whilst Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Wolves look set to stay up.
