Manchester City’s title odds have moved to 11/10 after their emphatic 4-1 win over relegation contenders Bournemouth, according to UK betting sites.

Pep Guardiola’s side got off to an electric start, with Julian Alvarez firing into the roof of the net following a goal-mouth scramble. The league’s top goalscorer Erling Haaland made it two with a trademark left-footed finish.

The blue side of Manchester ended the half as they started it, as the returning Phil Foden finished off a superb team move. Bournemouth failed to trouble Ederson in the opening half, with Jefferson Lerma’s ambitious strike being their best effort.

City started the second-half in the same way they started the first- dangerously. It took six minutes to extend their lead to four, as Julian Alvarez’s shot deflected off Chris Mepham into the back of the net.

The Cherries gave their supporters something to cheer about when Jefferson Lerma found a consolation goal as he smashed the ball home in the 82nd minute. City managed to hold on to take all three points back to Manchester.

Can City beat Arsenal to the title?

The Gunners increased the gap to five points prior to City’s match against Bournemouth, as they beat Leicester 1-0. That gap has been cut by three points and Arsenal will be looking to extend it back to five with their game in hand.

Guardiola will already have his sights set on their next Premier League fixture, when they welcome Newcastle to the Etihad. The two sides drew 3-3 in the reverse fixture, as the Magpies are one of eight teams to take points of the current Champions.

Mikel Arteta’s side will play their game in hand this Wednesday, as the Gunners face Everton at the Emirates. The side from north London will be seeking revenge on the Toffee’s as they lost 1-0 to Sean Dyche’s side at Goodison Park.
