Leicester City will be looking to bounce back from defeat against Manchester United last weekend, as they face another top-six opponent as league-leaders Arsenal travel to the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

Leicester vs Arsenal Preview

Arsenal regained control of the Premier League last weekend when they came back late on to beat Aston Villa 4-2 and with Manchester City dropping points against Forest later that day, the Gunners have gone back to top of the league.

Mikel Arteta’s men showed great resolve in the dying minutes to come back against Villa and are now two points clear at the top, with a game in hand to play over closest pursuers in Manchester City. City remain the favourites to win the league this season despite Arsenal being clear at the top.

Arsenal are currently 11/10 with most bookmakers to win the Premier League this season, with City still favourites at a price of 10/11.

Leicester struggled away from home last weekend, as they made the trip to Old Trafford and suffered a 3-0 loss thanks to a Marcus Rashford brace and Jadon Sancho goal in the second half.

Although they lost at the weekend, the Foxes have been in good form of late having beaten Spurs and Aston Villa with a new found confidence from some January signings.

Leicester vs Arsenal Team News

Although Leicester have struggled with injuries so far this season, Brendan Rodgers is finally seeing his players return to action and will only be without the trio of James Justin, Jonny Evans and Ryan Bertrand for the game on Saturday.

James Maddison is a doubt to start against the Gunners this weekend, with the English midfielder struggling with a hamstring injury that Brendan Rodgers has said ‘will be assessed’ ahead of Saturday’s game.

Arsenal have been rumoured with a Youri Tielemans signing for some months now and even though he could only feature from the bench against United on Sunday, the Belgian is expected to make his return to the starting XI against the league leaders this weekend.

Gabriel Jesus has been missing for the Gunners for some time now but the Brazilian is finally coming towards the end of his injury treatment and is expected to return for Arsenal soon.

This weekend is still too soon for Arsenal’s star forward however and he will remain sidelined along with Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny this weekend who are also struggling with knocks.
