Former Newcastle United forward Nile Ranger has taken to Twitter in an attempt to sell tickets for the Carabao Cup final to ticketless Magpies fans.
Nile Ranger was contracted to Newcastle United from 2008 until 2013, and scored three times for the club in 62 competitive appearances.
He was considered to be a future star within the English game, after impressing for Newcastle‘s youth sides as well as for the England U19 side.
After plenty of trouble with the law, Ranger’s Newcastle career came to an end in March 2013. Just two months before leaving the club, Ranger took to Twitter to criticise the Magpies fans after the team were booed off the pitch following a 2-1 loss to fellow relegation strugglers Reading.
Ranger has seemed to hit a new low today however. The former England youth international has been spotted on Twitter trying to flog tickets for the upcoming Carabao Cup final.
Newcastle travel to Wembley to take on Manchester United in the final this Sunday – the club’s first appearance at the new Wembley Stadium.
The 31-year-old posted a screenshot on the social media platform, attempting to sell tickets in the Newcastle end, the Man Utd end, as well as VIP tickets.

Ranger explained his ticket-selling system in a follow-up tweet.
“Tickets are available through a trusted marketplace, which guarantees all tickets.” Ranger tweeted.
“Prices are above face value, and the company is not affiliated with the football clubs or Wembley directly.
“Customers will be paying the company direct”.
This, of course, angered fans of both Newcastle United and Manchester United, with many replying to his tweets citing his legal history.
If anyone is considering this, I suggest they scroll down to the 'legal history' section of Nile's Wikipedia page https://t.co/6JOghr821r

The former Magpies front-man responded to angry fans with another tweet.
“You are worried about reselling tickets,” Ranger posted on social media.
“Go help victims of Syria and Turkey,
“HOW ABOUT THAT”.

Go help victims of syria and turkey
HOW ABOUT THAT 👏🏾❤️
