Manchester City will be without both Kevin de Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte for the first-leg of their last-16 Champions League tie away at RB Leipzig.

Kevin de Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte both missed City’s training session on Tuesday, and have not been included in Guardiola’s 22-man squad for Wednesday’s clash against RB Leipzig.

English defender John Stones has also been confirmed to be out for the fixture after being omitted from City’s final squad for the tie.

De Bruyne came off injured during City’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, being replaced by Julian Alvarez after 88 minutes. Laporte played the entire game, but has now been confirmed as injured by the Citizens.

Stones has been out for almost a month, having last featured for Guardiola’s side in their FA Cup triumph over Arsenal last month.

Youngsters Alexander Robertson and Shea Charles have both been included in the 22-man squad, and will travel to Germany with the team.

Leipzig ace Christian Nkunku is also a doubt for the tie, having not been able to take part in full training due to a muscular issue.

The tie takes place at Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena, as second place Premier League side Man City take on fifth place Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

According to Champions League betting sites, City are favourites to win – priced at around 17/20.
