Manchester United have been priced at 5/4 to qualify for the Europa League round of 16, after their first-leg play-off tie with Barcelona finished 2-2 at the Camp Nou.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United became the first side to avoid defeat against Barcelona since the La Liga leaders returned from the Qatar World Cup.

A fairly even first-half meant it was goalless at the midway point. Both sides had chances to open the scoring, but neither could make the most of the opportunities.

The second-half was a completely different story however, as Barcelona came flying out of the blocks with Marcos Alonso heading home the opener after 50 minutes.

Marcus Rashford continued his rich vein of form, adding another goal to level the scoring two minutes after Alonso’s opener. The Englishman broke into the box down the right-hand side and smashed his effort past Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, beating him at his near-post.

The 25-year-old now has six goal involvements in his last five outings in all competitions, scoring four and assisting twice.

Rashford helped complete the turnaround in the 59th minute, as his drilled cross forced Jules Kounde to turn the ball into his own net to give United the lead.

Former Leeds United winger Raphinha levelled the scoring once again in the 72nd minute. The Brazilian looked to send a cross into the United box, but deceived the defenders and David de Gea, as his effort curled into the far corner.

Barcelona were dealt two major blows in the game, as Pedri was forced off with what looked to be a muscle injury and Gavi was booked, meaning he is suspended for the second-leg in Manchester.

The Red Devils had lost their previous four matches against the Blaugrana, but have it all to play for next week at Old Trafford after avoiding defeat.
