Sent off at 80-1 in the 2m1f handicap hurdle that closed the card on Trials Day, the lightly-raced eight-year-old kept on from a midfield sit to finish just over seven lengths back in seventh of the 15 runners, leaving the firm impression that he would have been closer had he not been switched more than once on the run-in. He looks well handicapped and can take this extended 2m3f contest before making his mark at the spring festivals. Buy in the 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price with Spreadex.

HEREFORD 4.10
The faster the ground the better where FAMILY POT is concerned, and he returned to winning ways with conditions to suit a 3m1f handicap chase at Hereford on February 5th. His chase record on officially good or faster going now reads 1311 (3-4), improving to 111 (3-3) on right-handed tracks only. The drop back to 2m5f is not ideal, though he did win over even shorter at Ludlow in October and he’s sure to be finishing to good effect.
