Mikel Arteta was full of love for his squad after Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Everton on Saturday, as the Gunners boss said he is “so proud to coach these players”.
Arsenal lost for only the second time this season at the weekend, as Mikel Arteta’s side struggled up north with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Everton closing the gap to just five points at the top of the table.
“What I told them is that today I love them much better than the week before, a month ago, six months ago. It is easy to be next to someone that is winning & playing well. It is the moment now we have to be next to them, because they deserve it.”
"We're going to have to dig in going forward!"

“I just told the players I love them more now than I did last week and last month.”
Despite the high praise for his squad, Arsenal still lost and Arteta recognised that his side need to work on their discipline later in the game if they want to win the league this season.
“More composure & to control emotionally the game better, because if not, you start playing the game they want to play. It’s in & out, with a lot of duels, we made so much free-kicks in the last 10-12 minutes, so unnecessary.”
Manchester City are still yet to play this weekend and so Arsenal will be praying that Spurs can take points off their closest rivals on Sunday when the sides meet in North London.
