Everton have made a £45m bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, just an hour after Sean Dyche was announced as the new manager of the club.
The Toffees have submitted a bid of £40m with £5m in add-ons, however Gallagher is said to be keen on staying at Stamford Bridge instead of moving.
Dyche, who replaced the sacked Frank Lampard began eyeing up targets to help the Merseysiders beat the drop before his appointment was official.

It’s the exact fee that Newcastle United payed Everton for Anthony Gordon, with that signing being announced on Sunday.
There’s been a fair bit of interest in Gallagher, and Chelsea have received enquiries from Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United – but the 22-year-old doesn’t want to move.
Gallagher spent last season on loan at Palace, and excelled under Patrick Viera, scoring 8 goals and registering 3 assists helping them to a mid-table finish.
