The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained eight-year-old has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory on more than one occasion but form figures over fences of 123422622223 (1-12) suggest he should again be thereabouts in a race his trainer traditionally does well in. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or back each-way at fixed odds.

CHELTENHAM 3.35
Syd Hosie has done well since linking up with Gay Kelleway and the yard’s runners have often out-run their odds when returning from a recent outing (1-28 days ago), landing six of their 40 starts for a profit of £119.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. ROCK MY WAY, sent off at 66-1, ran a huge race over course and distance on his Rules debut on New Year’s Day, finding only 5-4 favourite Weveallbeencaught too good despite getting no cover from the headwind in the straight. He finished less than two lengths behind the winner that day and pulled a massive 23 lengths clear of the third. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price. Stablemate WAY OUT qualifies on the same angle and will appreciate the return to a left-handed track after his Taunton runner-up effort when he raced in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail. He too looks worth an interest to small stakes.

CHELTENHAM 4.10
Six-year-olds who finished in the top three last time out have dominated this race in recent years and Fergal O’Brien’s PUNCTUATION fits the bill. He’s four from four since transferring from the Charlie Longdson yard and won with a ton in hand over course and distance last month. The softer going won’t inconvenience him and an 8lb rise might not be enough to stop him. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
