It’s another bumper day of Bank Holiday racing action on Tuesday (December 27th) and Andrew has seven selections across the country. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
KEMPTON 12.45
CHAOS CONTROL (system – Stuart Edmunds, second run for the yard)
Stuart Edmunds does well at the second time of asking with horses he takes over from other trainers, scoring with 11 of the 47 qualifiers for a profit of £52.95. CHAOS CONTROL did well to win from the front over 1m4f at Wolverhampton on his stable debut – front-runners have a modest record over that course and distance – and he might be able to make it two from two for Edmunds.

HATTON GARDENS (system – Sandy Thomson, winter runners)
Since the beginning of 2012, Sandy Thomson has a 91 from 463 record with his runners from November to January for a huge profit of £265.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. This angle produced a 10-1 winner at Newcastle yesterday and HATTONS GARDENS might be able to out-run odds of around 20-1 on his return from wind surgery.

GREEN BOOK (system – Venetia Williams, first run after a wind operation, handicaps only)
Since wind surgery had to be declared in January 2018, Venetia Williams has a 13 from 40 record with her handicappers on their first start following the procedure for a profit of £60.83. Those returning from a break of 150 days or longer, as GREEN BOOK is today, were 12 from 28 for a profit of £69.08.

WAKEY WAKEY (system – Tim Easterby hurdlers, first-time blinkers)
Since the beginning of 2014, Tim Easterby is five from 16 with hurdlers in first-time blinkers for a profit of £8.38. WAKEY WAKEY has shown promise in both jumps outings to date, and the headgear can help him to get off the mark.

AND THE NEW (system – Laura Morgan, chasers)
Prior to racing on Boxing Day, Laura Morgan had a 68 from 319 record with her chasers (21.3% strike-rate) for a huge profit of £120.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. AND THE NEW, whose two wins over hurdles came on soft/heavy going, looks interesting at a big price now encountering slow conditions fo the first time for his current yard.
KEMPTON 3.09
KITTY’S LIGHT (system – Christian Williams, 2m5f+ handicap chases, December to May)
Christian Williams usually takes time to hit full stride at the start of the peak jumps season but backing all his handicap chasers who were running over 2m5f or further from December until May would have found 41 winners from 171 runners (24% strike-rate) for a profit of £110.54 to the usual £1 stake. The profit improves to £126.04 for those aged nine or younger. KITTY’S LIGHT fits the profile of previous winners of this three-mile handicap chase and can reward each-way support at a nice price.
WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30
SAMBA LADY (system – Kodi Bear, Wolverhampton)
Progeny of the sire Kodi Bear have a 16 from 90 record at Wolverhampton for a profit of £56.48 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners less than ten). SAMBA LADY finished a creditable fourth after a 245-day break at Lingfield earlier this month and could improve for the switch to Tapeta for the first time.
