The latest Wolves transfer exclusive reveals that the club are in pursuit of a new centre forward and they have identified Paris Saint-Germain star Hugo Ekitike as one of their top targets.

Wolves Exploring Deal For PSG Forward Hugo Ekitike

The West Midlands outfit have been stepping up their search for a new striker and want one last check on Hugo Ekitike as part of the process.

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have been negotiating a deal for Ekitike this week, but if that transfer does not materialise soon then Wolves will have the chance to move.

There is a belief that the forward has been open minded about joining them – while Crystal Palace, West Ham and Newcastle appeal too.

The search for a new front man at Wolves has also seen them explore deals for the likes of Che Adams at Southampton, Danny Ings at West Ham, Armando Broja at Chelsea.

But Ekitike is of a great profile fit in this window if they could make it happen, as Gary O’Neil is keen for a player who could come into the side and play wide as well as through the middle of the attack.

French ace Ekitike will be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain this month under the right terms, and Wolves have been trying to uncover possibilities around that.

One of the big issues around Ekitike from a Frankfurt perspective has been his personal terms, with the PSG player currently earning around £110,000-a-week. And, any hold up may allow one more chance for negotiations around a Premier League switch.

Caution Needed For Spending At Molineux

It’s an interesting situation as Wolves are being cautious about their spend in this window, and know that the closer they get to deadline the less chance they would have of striking good terms on top players.

With that in mind they would ideally look to complete a deal in the next week, and that is why there is suddenly more talk around their interest in Adams, Ings and Broja too.
