Glenn Nyberg’s Overall UCL Stats
The Swedish referee is a UEFA Champions League newbie and has overseen just four games so far since making his debut in 2022. Ironically, all of Nyberg’s fixtures have involved British teams. His first match was Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Shakhtar in September of last year with his second coming in Rangers 3-1 defeat to Ajax at Ibrox in the same campaign.
As earlier mentioned, Nyberg was the man in charge earlier this year for Sevilla vs Arsenal and Bayern Munich vs Manchester United but Tuesday’s clash will be the first he has officiated on English soil. Overall, Nyberg has issued nine yellow cards, zero reds and two penalties across his four games.
