Who is Micah Hamilton? The Manchester City youngster scored on his senior debut against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League on match day 6 of the 2023/24 campaign. 

Hamilton introduced himself to the City faithful by scoring his side’s opener in the Serbian capital, cutting into the box from the right and thundering home with aplomb after 19 minutes.

Who Is Micah Hamilton?

Micah Hamilton was born in Manchester on November 13th, 2003 and has been part of City’s youth academy since the age of nine. Hamilton climbed the ranks through the youth teams with distinction, before he was eventually promoted to the U21 side at the start of the 2023/24 season.

The 20-year old caught the eye of boss Pep Guardiola with his mature displays and earned a spot on the bench in the UEFA Champions League match day 3 victory over Young Boys at the Stadion Wankdorf in Switzerland. Of course, Hamilton is not the first Micah to break through at the Etihad.

Former Manchester City star Micah Richards burst on to the scene in 2005 after impressing at youth level. Richards would go on to win the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup during his playing days. Something of which Hamilton will be keen to emulate.

Micah Hamilton Playing Style

Micah Hamilton’s playing style is clearly dynamic and buccaneering. It’s very early days but he has similarities of some of the finest wingers in the Premier League and that will hold him in good stead as his career blossoms and develops. He certainly looks capable of staking a claim in the starting XI in the not so distant future.

Predominantly a left-winger, Hamilton can be utilised as a central attacking midfielder or as a right-winger. His versatility will be key to his development and something of which will tick the right boxes with Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard has always been keen on players who can be deployed in a number of positions.
