As the halfway stage of the 2023/24 season edges closer, players across Europe’s best leagues will start to have their eye on not only winning trophies for their respective clubs, but personal goal scoring accolades as well.

Some of the world’s best players have been very prolific in front of goal this season and there have been some fantastic numbers put up, and those stars will want to ensure 2024 carries on the way 2023 ended.

Here at SportsLens, we take a look at the current top scorers across Europe’s best leagues.

Harry Kane Bundesliga Goals

Harry Kane’s Bundesliga goals currently stand at 20 after just 14 appearances for Bayern Munich. Kane also has five assists to his name in Germany’s elite, making him the most lethal striker across Europe so far in 2023/24. The England captain only joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 and has wasted no time settling in.

Kane won three Premier League Golden Boot awards during his time at Tottenham Hotspur and it very much looks like he will be adding the Kicker-Torjägerkanone to his individual accolades come May. The record for most Bundesliga goals in a season is currently 41, set by Robert Lewandowski in 2020/21. Kane is very much on course to beat the Pole’s tally.

Jude Bellingham Real Madrid Goals

Similar to Harry Kane, England international Jude Bellingham has been a goalscoring revelation since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. Bellingham’s Real Madrid goals have seen him rise to the top of the scoring charts in La Liga, netting 13 times and providing two assists in 15 appearances.

Bellingham has played predominantly as an attacking midfielder for Los Blancos and it is certainly paying dividends. The 2023 Golden Boy winner has also been a huge success in the UEFA Champions League in 2023/24, netting four times in five outings and has chipped in with three assists. Hard to believe Bellingham is only 20-years old.

Erling Haaland Man City Stats

Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland is Manchester City’s and the Premier League’s top scorer so far in 2023/24. Haaland’s Man City stats are barely believable since he joined the club in the summer of 2022. The Norwegian centre-forward broke various records on his way to winning the treble last season and he is on course for back-to-back Golden Boots.

Haaland has scored 14 times in 15 top-flight appearances and also has four assists to his name. He has been just as prolific in the UEFA Champions League, notching five times in his five outings so far. The best UK betting sites price Haaland at 11/10 to finish up as the Champions League top scorer in 2023/24.

Kylian Mbappe PSG Goals

Kylian Mbappe’s PSG goals this season have seen him net 16 times in just 15 Ligue 1 appearances. The Les Bleus superstar is nine goals ahead of his nearest rival in the scoring charts in France’s top division and it’ll take a lot to stop him winning a record-breaking sixth Golden Boot award. Not bad for a left-winger.

Mbappe has scored an incredible 231 times for PSG in 281 appearances across all competitions since joining the club in 2017 from Monaco. It seems just like a matter of time before he leaves Paris and tests himself in another top European league, where he will surely put up some impressive scoring numbers.

Lautaro Martinez For Inter

Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is the current top scorer in Italy’s elite league, netting 15 goals in 16 Serie A appearances this season. Martinez has been sensational for Inter since he joined the club in 2018 and has often been linked with a mega-money move away from I Nerazzurri. At 26-years old, he is very much in his prime.

Martinez’s best Serie A goalscoring season has seen him score 21 times on two different occasions. Baring injury or a bad run of form, he will smash his personal best way before the end of the 2023/24 campaign. The Argentine FIFA World Cup winner has scored 119 times in all competitions for the Italian giants.

Santiago Gimenez Feyenoord Record

Santiago Gimenez’s Feyenoord record has been hugely impressive since he joined the Dutch side in 2022. Gimenez has scored 43 times in 66 appearances across all competitions, which includes 18 Eredivisie goals in 16 outings so far this season. The Mexican centre-forward will be very much in demand with stats like that.

Gimenez will be linked with a move to a Premier League, La Liga or Bundesliga side in the not so distant future – but he won’t come cheap. Gimenez has won several individual awards in his short time at Feyenoord and he also has two goals in four UEFA Champions League outings.

Note – Stats correct as of December 18th 2023.
