Liverpool and Manchester City has become a fixture where the world stops what they’re doing and sits down to watch in awe. Two of the best managers in the world. Two of the best squads in the world. A match that has decided titles. Manchester City meet Liverpool at the Etihad once more this Saturday. 1st against 2nd all over again.
When was the last time Liverpool beat Manchester City at the Etihad in the Premier League?
Liverpool’s away record has been poor. Not just at the Etihad. Liverpool have won just eight out of 25 away matches since the start of last season.
Liverpool haven’t beaten City at the Etihad in a Premier League game in eight years. They’ve suffered 5-0, 4-0 and 4-1 defeats at the Etihad in those years. A huge feat to Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City squad.
You’d have to all the way back to the 21st November 2015 to witness Liverpool beat Manchester City. They were 3-0 up after just half an hour through an Eliaquim Mangala own goal and Brazilian duo Phillipe Coutinho & Roberto Firmino also netting for the reds. That was Firmino’s first goal out of 111 he scored for Liverpool.

Sergio Aguero pulled one back for City before half-time but Martin Skrtel sealed the deal with ten minutes to go. City were knocked off top spot after this defeat and Liverpool moved up to ninth with the win. A huge shock to the Premier League.
