When Is SPOTY 2023? BBC Sports Personality Of The Year On Tuesday 19th December
Sporting fans that like to relive the glories of the year just gone will be looking forward to the annual BBC Sports Personality Of The Year awards show, so just when is SPOTY 2023 going to be broadcast this year?
Most SPOTY fans will remember the awards being aired on a Sunday night – normally the one closest to Christmas Day.
However, last year the familiar Sunday slot was binned in favour of a Wednesday and a similar thing is happening in 2023.
SPOTY 2023 will be shown on Tuesday 19th December.
What Time Is SPOTY 2023? BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Will Start at 7pm
Hosted as normal by Gary Lineker, 2023 SPOTY will be shown at 7pm and run till 9pm.
Alex Scott, Gabby Logan and Clare Balding will join Lineker for the 2023 hosting duties.

As the name suggests the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year is always shown on BBC and on their main BBC1 channel.
